I DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING. BUT I KNOW EXACTLY WHO I AM AND WHERE I'M GOING.
I DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING. BUT I KNOW EXACTLY WHO I AM AND WHERE I'M GOING.I'm 17. I've been playing basketball for 12 years. I coach kids. I speak in front of authorities. I work for the rights of my peers. And I have no intention of stopping. The basketball court shaped me before I knew what discipline, resilience, or leadership meant. It showed me that losses are part of the game and that a team is always stronger than any individual. I now carry those same lessons far beyond the court - at CSU ASE Bucuresti, where I compete, and at Romanian-Finnish High School, where I coach kids from grades 1 through 8 and where I also study, in a system built on the values of Finnish education.I'm a member of the Children's Board of Romania supported by UNICEF, where I work on mental health, education, and children's rights.
I'm a member of the Children's Advisory Council of Bucharest Municipality, where I speak directly with local decision-makers about what it means to be young in this city. I participate in ERASMUS+ projects and studied at Fordham University in New York, where I earned a C1 English certification - building on a path that also includes my Cambridge B2 certification.
I believe mental health is not a taboo subject. I believe sport is one of the most powerful tools a young person has to build a resilient mind. And I believe the voice of a 17-year-old matters - if they know what they're saying and have the courage to say it loud.If you want to see what all of this looks like in practice - games, projects, real moments - find me on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/dRAQbyEY
I am Nicholas Carstoiu, athlete, activist, and a person still becoming - and I believe my generation doesn't need another speech about the future. It needs people who are building the future today: on the court, in meeting rooms, and wherever their voice can make a difference.
I'm one of them. And I'm just getting started.
NU STIU TOT. STIU INSA EXACT CINE SUNT SI INCOTRO MA DUC.Am 17 ani. Joc baschet de 12 ani. Antrenez copii. Vorbesc in fata autoritatilor.
