Talent is everywhere. Opportunity is not.
We keep saying sport builds character.
But we ignore a harder truth: access to sport is still unequal, inconsistent, and often left to chance.
Schools underfund it, communities lack infrastructure, and too many talented kids are filtered out before they even begin—not because they lack ability, but because no one invested in them.
This is not a gap. It’s a systemic failure.
If we are serious about “ sport for all,” then we need to act:
* Make sport a real priority in schools, not a formality
* Fund community-level access for children who cannot afford it
* Train coaches to develop people, not just select performers
We don’t need more slogans. We need systems that include, not exclude.
I’m Nicholas Carstoiu, athlete and youth advocate, and I believe access to sport should not depend on luck.
It should be built, protected, and guaranteed.
* Sport real in scoli, nu doar formalitate
