Module 01 · TRUST // NO TRUST

SURVIVE: seven days online

Live a simulated week as Alex, a 15-year-old whose phone never stops. A flattering stranger, a prize sent by a friend whose account was hacked, a phishing e-mail, a cloned voice asking for money, a post you never agreed to and a blackmail attempt. Every day, you decide what Alex does. At the end you get a score out of 100 and your Digital DNA: the pattern that shows how you react under pressure.

  • About 15-20 minutes
  • 7 days, 7 situations
  • Score out of 100
  • No account, nothing sent online
Everything is fictional. You can exit at any moment.

Questions and answers

Is SURVIVE free, and do I need an account?

It is completely free and works without an account, a name or an e-mail address. It runs in your browser and nothing you choose is sent anywhere.

How is the score calculated?

Each of the seven days is worth 14 or 15 points. The safest reaction earns all of them, partly safe reactions earn part of them, and a risky choice never takes away points you already have. Everyone plays the same week, so scores can be compared.

Who created SURVIVE?

SURVIVE was written and built by Nicholas Carstoiu, a 17-year-old student from Bucharest, as the first module of TRUST // NO TRUST. It builds on his cybersecurity programme for teenagers, Smart Online = Safe Offline.
